During our MEAP investigation we sought an answer to the question, "Does the distance of an object from the observer affect how the observer sees the size of the object?"

The observer looked at circle 1 at 2 meters away and circle 2 which was 6 meters away. Did they appear to be the same size? Was one larger? Was one smaller? Which one

It is important to record all data accurately. This team is working together to compare their data. They will discuss their results and write a summary. Their lab books will be available to them when they take the MEAP test the first week of February.

We used five hallways because each team of three needed 15 meters of space.

Circle 3 seems to be larger. How far does Anne have to move back so that both circles appear the same size to Hunter? Will all students see this the same?

Using meter stick, the students determine the distance between the observer and the point at which circles 1 & 3 appeared to be the same size.
