Eighth Grade Advisory Projects

My Advisory project is about me having dual citizenship. For those who don't know what dual citizenship is, the purpose of it is that you have the freedom to live in Canada or the USA. Also, I have all the rights and priviledges of living in each country in Canada and the USA. For example: I can live there, go to school there, boat there and go to college. Because my mother is Canadian, she kept her Canadian citizenship. She married an American which is my dad and decided to take out American citizenship. Because of this, my mom was able to get these documents for me and my sister. Unless you have these documents you have the same right as me. I have the right ot vote in Canada and USA when I turn 18. My mom can vote in Canada, but not in the USA because she didn't apply to be an American. She didn't want to give up Canadian citizenship for personal reasons. -Carmen Howard

I brought in my cat. She is almost a year old. Her mom came from a dumpster and her mom's name is D.D. Her dad was a Tomcat. My cat eats cat food. My cat is fixed so she will not have any baby kittens. -Anthony Reedy

For my presentation in Advisory class, brought my dog Chi Chi. He's a miniature teacup chuawa. He's about 9 years old and thats very old for this kind of dog. He is not very healthy right now because he suffers from kidney failure. Chi Chi has to stay warm all the time because he gets sick very easy. He has a little bed in the bathroom he goes to every night when you tell him it is time for bed. -Alyssa Cole

I showed my dog, Emmy. She weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. She likes to eat dog food and she is a Yorky. They are pretty short.

My presentation is about my ability to draw horses. I've been drawing horses since 4th grade and have become quiet good at it. I keep my best drawings in a special folder. I normally draw them when I am mad or bored. I like drawing horse and I will keep drawing them in the future. -Carmen Hayes

Scott, Clyve and I all shared a presentation on music. First, Scott told the class about the strings on a bass guitar. Then we showed some examples of different types of music. I shoed some notes and cords. Then we played the song "Seven Nation Army." -Andy Allen

Andy and I have a band and we play at my house every once-in-a-while. Andy plays the guitar and I play the bass. Casey is another member of our band and he is the lead guitarist. He is better than us because he has played for 3 years and we've only played for one year. Although we're not the best in the world, we love to play songs together. If you are available, we are still looking for a vocalist. -Scott McKeel

My advisory presentation was my trophies from Pinewood Durby. My first year, I took 1st or 2nd but couldn't go to the districts because they didn't offer it for my division. My second year, I took 2nd and got to go to districts! Unfotunately, I didn't do good. My 34d year, I took first and was the first to win the pack trophy. My last year I took 2nd and went to districts again. That year I was doing good, but a car rocked mine off the track and ended up taking 15th out of 60 participants.-Nathan Morrill

My presentation was about me being in softball. I showed the class my trophy stand and my medal. My big trophy was for being the champs. The smaller one was for me because I was the player of the game. My medal was for Bear Lake team getting 2nd out of 4. My favorite one was my small trophy because I was the first to receive it and it was my first award.-Kieran O'Connor

Return to Mrs. Warman 2003-2004

I presented my dog, Ann. She had a lot of fun seeing all the other people in the classroom. She likes to eat a lot of dog food and when she grows up, she is going to hunt koon. She is only 7 weeks old, so she is still a little young. She will soon grow up and be a good koon hunting dog. -Nick Bradford

My advisory project is about my kittens. I have 3 kittens and they are all boys. All three of them were born June 21st of 2003. The moms name is Nikki and she is black and white. I brought in my 3 kittens and right now they are 3 months old. I like my kittens because they keep me company when I'm in a good mood and when I'm in a bad mood. When my kittens grow up, they are going to be barn cats. I saw the birth of each kitten and they looked like fuzzy little mice. In the pictures I have, they are one month old. -Courtney Griswold

I told the class about what I had to do, like what song I played on my violin for the talent portion of the contest. I also told the class what categories were in the presentation. There was talent, formal dress, sportswear, and also I had to have an interview with the judges. I was in 5th grade for this pageant. -Megan Cronkhite

I brought in my iguana, Iggy. He eats chicken, lettus, and any kind of bulk vegtables. He lives in a 60 gallon tank. He needs ultraviolet rays to give him energy to digest his food. He has a 3-chamber heart and he has scales.-Zach Yonkers

My chicken is very interesting. It is a Banny, meaning small bird. The food that I feed it has corn and 15 % protein to build muscle. This was its first year showing in the Manistee Fair and she did well. I will train her harder so she will not be as shy or jumpy. I plan to show her again next year so I hope I can train her well. - Julie Schoedel

I brought in my dog. Her name is Sadie. She had fun. She did some tricks. The class liked Sadie. -Jamie Herbert

I showed my dog, Buttercup. She is a pointer, beagle and lab mix. She is seven months old. She likes to tear up stuff, like all dogs. She likes all dogs. The only reason I named her Buttercup is because the night she was born, the song "Bring Me a Buttercup" was playing on the radio.- Josh Cebula

I did my presentation on my trip to Florida. I brought in pictures, postcards, a Micky Mouse hat and a smashed penny and quarter. I had a lot of fun. We stayed at a campsite and celebrated my mom's birthday down in Florida. -Sarah Eipperle
