Onekama topped Manistee Gold, 35-14, in Round 1 of the Trinity Tourney! 

What a win!  The Portagers defeated the Manistee Gold team in their first game of the Trinity Tournament with a score of 35 to 14 on March 13th.  With a halftime score of 12-11, up by one, the Portagers started the second half on a mission.  The loss in the beginning of the season to the Chippewas didn't have the Portagers backing down.  Teamwork and great attitudes contributed greatly to the win.  I am so proud of the team.  Good luck Portagers in the rest of the tournament! ~Coach Bennett

Wednesday March 13, 2013 we played the Manistee Gold Chippewas in our first tournament game. It was really different from playing in a regular game. We played really well. We won 35-14. They beat us last time, but we beat them when it counted most. I had 10 points, Luke and Austin each had 8, Aaron had 5, and Cody, Justin, and Caden each had 2 points. I can't wait for our next tournament game Saturday against Bear Lake. ~Taylor
