ONEKAMA — The Girl Scouts of Onekama area (made up of girls from Manistee, Kaleva, Onekama and Bear Lake) are having a turkey dinner fund raiser on Saturday, April 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Onekama Lions Club building located on the Manistee County Fairgrounds.

Area troops are raising money for their summer trips. Troop #3749 is planning a trip to the Detroit area to visit Greenfield Village, the Ford automobile plant and the Detroit Zoo. They plan to have lunch with the Girl Scouts of South East Michigan.

Troop #458 and Troop #460 are planning are planning on taking the train from Holland to Chicago where they will visit some museums, the aquarium, the zoo and other attractions.

The girls are selling tickets prior to the event, but tickets can be purchased at the door. The menu includes roast turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans, baked beans, dinner rolls, fruit, cranberry sauce, dessert and beverages.
