7th Grade Wins 2 of 3.
Tonight Wednesday the 17, we played volleyball in Brethren. Onekama won
the first game 21-19, then lost the second game 21-23. We then play a
third and final game that we won 15-11. Sami Tiefenthal led the team
with 13 points for the Portagers. Faith Moerdyk scored 6 points for her
team and Courtney Danks also help with 3 points. The seventh graders
had a player out sick today so Jessa Gauthier stepped in and play on
their team so we could have a 7th grade game. ~Coach Keith |
For the 8th graders tonight
against the Bobcats, we won the first game 21-13, we then turned
around and won the second game 21-10 for the match win. We continued on
to a third game for more practice time and won 21-9. Elizabeth Bergren
was the teams top scorer with 17 points. Becky Cunningham and Sierra
Hull both scored 8 points each. Kelly Koon and Emily Bergren both added
4 points and Emalee Schultz added a point. The girls played very well
together, we did really well on our serving and passing of the ball
