We are doing a section on sound waves in 7^th grade science. We asked the Deleon family to bring in their Monster Truck to demonstrate powerful sounds waves.  The kids could feel the sound of the engine in their ribs!  It was so cool!  Mr. Deleon mentioned that the engine produces 600 horsepower----which is 2 times the amount our normal cars produce.  It was such a treat for them to bring in this very awesome example of SOUND WAVES!! 

 Mr. Deleon even drove it around the circle for us and thankfully resisted squishing Mr. Brandis’s truck!   It truly brought a huge smile to everyone’s face.  Also, some of the 7^th graders hopped in the back of the truck for a picture and the 4^th graders then took a turn in the back.
