Miss Turk's Class is telling us what 8th grade is like--so far.

Dear Mrs. Eldridge,
8th grade is going ok so far but I have to say that there has been a lot of drama and people competing with each other like how they look, who looks the best or who has this or don't have that. So all together I think that 8th grade is going good. Plush it is so different that we the 8th graders are the top dogs of the middle school also 8th grade work has got a lot harder and more difficult. The bad thing about 8th grade is that this year is our last year of middle school dances and having fun in classes. The classes that I am taking are 1st hour is history and that is going really good I have a A+ in that class and in 2nd hour is math and that is not my favorite cause I really don't like math that all, 3rd hour is reading and that is so boarding cause all we do is read 20 minutes only on Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. but no wed. we read for 40 minutes and that is even more boarding, 4th hour I have mini-society and that is a lot of fun cause Mrs. Ramsey breaks it down  easier, 5th grade is English and it is boarding and that lest favorite is 6th hour is because it is science and it goes so slow. And the last hour that I have is p.e and I hate that class because it is not fun at all like in elementary.

Dear Mrs. Eldridge,
Hi. I'm going to tell you about my 8th grade year, and how it’s going so far. Well lets see, lately I've taken a few tests and am doing or have done a few projects. Right now in Science ( Mr. Hunter) class we are doing a cornflake projects. In the project you have to finger pain, which is the fun part, the hard part is mixing the right colors to get the right product. In Ms. Turks class we just got done doing a poster project on the "good characteristics of a student" That project was pretty fun. Before I switched to study skills from mini society I had to help out A LOT. The 6th graders never knew anything about mini society sense this was their 1st year, and this was my 3rd. So I had to teach them how to do a couple things, but it was fun! 8th grade has been okay on my grades, but I think I could do better. I just can't wait until I get into 9th grade...... high school, finally. I remember when I went to the Arcadia School in 2nd grade. It seems like a long time ago, but it really wasn't. Before I know it I'll be graduating, I can't wait for that either. Okay well I hope you like my scoop on my 8th grade year so far. I'll see you around!
Sincerely,
Katie Johnson

Dear Mrs. Eldridge,

The 8th grade year has been going by so fast. It has been a cool year because we are the top dogs now and we are getting looked up to by the younger middle school kids. So it is pretty cool how we are being looked up to. What I like the most about 8th grade is that when we go to the lunch room the 8th grade gets our own room it's pretty cool. This year I played football for the 7th and 8th grade football team it was awesome. The position that I played was Running back for one game, then I played quarterback for the rest of the year it was pretty hard the 1st time because I never played that position before and the next day we had a game the day I tried out for it. I scored 3 touchdowns it was awesome. So yeah the 8th grade is pretty cool and yeah I like all my class they rock. So yeah that is what's cool about in 8th grade.

Dear Mrs. Eldridge,
The 8th grade is going good so far for me. I like all of my teachers and all of my classes are easy so far. I am getting good grades so far and hope to keep up the good work all year. It is really nice to be the top dogs of the middle school and try to be good influences to the young ones of the middle school. I played football that was a really good time to play and now I am playing basketball which should be even funner. In the middle school football year I played Conner Back on defense and on offense I played QB for part of the year until I crack my eye open and had to get 10 stitches. I think that my favorite teachers are Mr. Hunter, Mrs. Graham, and last but not lest Ms. Turk.
