Yesterday we met Mr. Bohannon. He is in the U.S. Air Force. He talked about animals and talked about his medals. Mr. Bohannon showed us his equipment and gear for when he does his duty. He showed us the gun proof vest that he said it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. Mr. Bohannon showed us pictures on the sand storms. It looked orange because of the sand and wind. It was fun listening to Mr. Bohannon. ~Hanah, grade 4-5

Yesterday Mr. Bohannon came to our school for an introduction. He came from Iraq. He has been in the Army for 15 years. He has been to Iraq three times. He trains people to shoot guns and drive trucks and cars. Mr. Bohannon is is very glad to be home. He had many experiences in Iraq. ~Braden, grade 4

On Wednesday we saw Mike Bohannon. There was a lizard in a picture called "DumDum". There was a bullet proof vest. There was a heavy best. We saw a camel spider. It was cool. ~Tiffany, grade 4

Yesterday I saw Mr. Bohannon. He told us a lot about the army. He showed us a dumdum. That's a lizard related to a dinosaur. They showed us humvees. My favorite was when we got to wear a 20 pound vest. It was funny when Caleb put it on and he fell. It was really fun. ~Logan, grade 4

Mr. Bohannon came in and told us about the navy. He told us about what kind of guns they used. He told us what they wore. They told us what they did in the Navy. It was a nice thing to do. ~Ethan, grade 4

On March 12, Mr. Bohannon came to our school. Mr. Bohannon just got back from Iraq. He told us all about when he was in Iraq. He was a gunner on a truck. He is in the air force. It was really cool to see all of his stuff. There's a lizard in Iraq called a dumb-dumb. ~Spencer, grade 4

On March 12, 2008 Mr. Bohannon came to talk about the army. He told us about what he does towing people out of the sand. He showed us a baby dum-dum. If their tail hits you it feels like steel. He showed us a camel spider. A camel spider eats through a big camel and a camel spider lays its eggs in a camel. ~Mark, Grade 3

Yesterday we had a speaker from the U.S. Air Force. His name was Mr. Bohannon. He has a daughter in third grade and a son in seventh grade. He showed us all of the things he wears and uses. He passed out his badges for us to see. Mrs. Ramsey had pictures to show us and Mr. Bohannon told us about it. It was fun having Mr. Bohannon come in and he should do it again. ~Gerald, grade 4-5

Mr. Bohannon came and talked about the air force. He showed us his bullet proof vest. He showed us his medals. I thought his medals were cool. He showed us that he shattered his knee cap. I felt really bad. I was so glad Mr. Bohannon came in. ~Caitlin, grade 4-5 

Yesterday Mr. Bohannon from the military came in and gave a speech. He had this one lizard called a dumdum. It is related to the dinosaur. Mr. Bohannon taught people how to shoot guns. I'm glad that he is fighting for our country. ~Jon, grade 4

On March 12, 2008 Mr. Bohannon came to my class. The things I learned are about his equipment. There is a sniper rifle, handbook, and bulletproof vest. His job is to train people to drive freight liners and wreckers. ~Makayla, grade 3

Thank you for taking your time to come in to Onekama School. We also thank you for telling us about what you do. My favorite part was the picture of the dumdum. Somethings I learned was how big the Air Force 1 and Air Force 2 are. The other thing I learned was about the camel spider.

On Wednesday March 12, 2008 Mr. Bohannon came to our school to talk to us. He talked to us about a place called Kuwait. In Kuwait there are dum-dums. Dum-dums are lizards. Mr. Bohannon is an Air Force Sergeant. Now I'm going to tell you about his equipment. He has a bulletproof vest and a book that he had to study. The book had laws of Kuwait. Also in Kuwait there are camel spiders. Next I'm going to tell you about his job. Mr. Bohannon is a trainer. He trains people how to drive freight liners, tanks, buses, wreckers. Also there's a KFC and a McDonalds in Kuwait. I almost forgot to mention there is a desert fox. ~Kelly Jane, Grade 3

Yesterday Mr. Bohannon came in and talked to us. He told us about everything he's done. He is the most decorated person in his unit. He showed us pictures of where he has been and the weird animals he's seen. The one I like is the dubdub. It is related to a dinosaur. It was a lot of fun. ~Jarett, grade 4-5

On March 12, 2008 Mr. Bohannon came to our class. He passed his stuff around. A lizard is called a dumdum. There was a KFC and a McDonalds. A bus was a toaster. He trained people to drive wreckers. ~Jacob, Grade 3

Mr. Bohannon taught us about the Army and the dumb-dumbs. The dumb-dumbs are lizards. I like the dum-dumbs because they are lizards and part dragon. Dragons are lizards. He showed the trucks they use. Taya, grade 4-5

Yesterday, a speaker came in called Mr. Bohannon. He came from the army. He brought lots of  bones. I had a fun time. He told us about the army and he said it was hard with no family there. I had a good time. ~Andrew, grade 4-5

When Mr. Bohannon came I learned about what he wore. I also learned about where they sleep. Also I learned that there was a dessert fox. I also learned a lot of other things. It was fun. ~Kelsey, grade 4-5
