Text Box: Ms. Turk is a teacher at Onekama Middle School. She is also the Girls Varsity Basketball coach. She enjoys her job as a coach. She has changed the players in many ways. I asked Ms. Turk if study skills was one of her better subjects and she said, “ I enjoyed school and still do. I didn’t have a study skills class, but I’ve acquired good study habits.” She enjoys her job and she is best at connecting with her students. She teaches 6th and 7th grade English, 6th and 7th Reading, 8th grade Pre-Algebra, and 6th thru 8th grade S.S. She doesn’t Text Box: have any trips planned or activities for her class. I asked her what kind of grading system she uses and she replied ,“Point system which is made up of a variety of activities, - 5 points each day of work ethic, participation, and being prepared.” She hopes to be teacher here for as long as she can. I asked her if she enjoys the students that she has and she said, “ of course– everyday someone makes me smile.” She enjoys doing memory and concentration skills, organizing– tactics, proof reading– characteristics of a good student, and test Text Box: taking habits. She plans on continuing the routine that she has started. Her best subjects in her school years were math and English. Her least favorite subject is Science. I really enjoyed interviewing Ms. Turk and hope that some time I can have her as a teacher, she sounds like a good teacher. I hope that Ms. Turk keeps up the good work. Text Box: First semesters mystery student is an 8th grader who enjoys hanging out with friends and really enjoys sports. He/she live a very interesting life. Also he/she like outside activities, also enjoy going swimming and going out to the pier. He/she Text Box: like to go to the dances and likes lots of different music.
