Onekama Middle School Volleyball Winter 2006

Feb. 7 at Baldwin 5:00	Wednesday night the Onekama middle school volleyball team played at Baldwin and played both 7th & 8th grade teams. The girls played really well together and I think they surprised themselves. Game Photos and Coach's report
Feb. 12 Bear Lake Home 4:00	We hosted Bear Lake Lakers Monday night and our 7th grade team played both their 7th and 8th graders. We won four out of the five games we played with the scores: 21-12, 21-14, 23-25, 21-16, 21-14. Game Photos & Coach's Report
Feb 14 at Bear Lake 5:00	Game Photos & Coach Keith's Report Tonight we traveled a short distance to play the Lakers again this week and once again beat them in winning four out of the five games. The girls are really on a winning streak and having a lot of fun.
Feb. 21 at MCE 5pm	Wednesday we traveled to MCE and played the 20 girls on their 7th grade team in five games. The Onekama Portagers came out ahead with a win playing 3 out of 5 games. Jennica Mathieu was the teams top scorer with 17 points. Emily Pomeroy was right behind her with scoring 13 points. Lindsay Nesburg helped out her team with 12 points and Tonya Delgado also helped her team to a win with 11 points. Brooke Sedelmaier added 4 points and Danielle Ward had 2 points for the night. Jaylee Brown added a point. The team played very well together and are improving each and every game. The 7th grade team is undefeated with four games under their belt. We play again on Monday the 26 against Walkerville. ...Coach Keith

March 6 MCE at Home	Tonight we hosted MCE cardinals and played their 7th grade team five games to win the match. We won the first game 21-19, lost the second game 18-21. Turned around and won the third game 21-12, and won the fourth game 21-18. And finished off the night winning the fifth and final game 21-18. We are still undefeated. Jennica scored 12 points, Emily scored 9 points, Lindsay scored 9 points, Danielle scored 7 points, Jaylee scored 7 points, Brooke scored 3 points, Amber scored 1 point. Photos ~Coach Keith
March 7 at Brethren 5 pm	Tonight we were hosted at Brethren for the middle school game. We played their 7th grade team 2 out of 3 games. And walked away with another win. The first game we won 21-13. And the second game we came out and bet them 21-18. We then played their 8th grade team 2 out 3 games, and won the first game 21-7 and turned around and won the second game 21-9, for another victory. Danielle Ward was the top scorer with 15 points. Brooke also help her team with the second top scorer with 10 points. Tonya Delgado scored 9 points for her team. Jennica added 8 points. Jaylee Brown also helped with 7 points for the night. Emily Pomeroy scored 6 points against the bobcats. Amber added 2 points and Lindsay also help with a point to end the night with two wins. ~Coach Keith
Sat. March 10 WMD Tourney 9:00 AM TBA	We went down to Walkerville for the end of the season 8th grade tournament with our 7th grade team. Our first game was against the Pentwater Falcons and won both games 21-8 and 21-6. We then played the winners of the Walkerville vs MCE game, which ended up beating MCE. We played the cardinals in the finals. The first game was really close and we lost 18-21. In the second and final game we lost 9-21, to take second in the tournament. ~Coach Keith's report and photos
