Another big win for the Fifth and Sixth Grade Portagers September 19, 2006 |

Another big win for the Portagers as
they roll over the Manistee Blue team 48-14. Quinn Matthews lead the
scoring blitz with 4 TD's including a 62 yd. punt return. Jacob Morales
added 3 more TD's and along with Mike Ennis they converted on three of
their 2 pt conversions.
Once again the defense really stepped up and held
their ground. The front line of Josh Santa, Justin Ennis, Chris Gale,
Jacob Morales and Eric Johnson caused continual havoc for the Manistee
offense and broke up a number of plays before they could even develop.
In the secondary, Matthews and Ennis picked off two passes that were
later converted for TD's for the Portagers. Josh Jacobs, Austin Griener,
Derek Hobart and DB Logan Fogarty also added to the attack with some
strong hitting and solid tackles, both inside and outside. |
