Onekama vs. M.C.C. at M.C.C. MRA awards the win to Onekama in a game called due to weather last night over Manistee Catholic Central. The young Portagers scored quickly twice on a run of 80 yards by Jacob Morales and on the next series Quinn Matthews took the quick pitch from Brice Reckow and behind a solid block from Logan Fogarty he scampered 70 yards for the second TD. Another 75 yard run by Matthews was called back due to holding prior to the end of the 2nd QTR and before the lighting started that |
caused the game to be canceled. Both conversion attempts failed, but
with Onekama leading with a score of 12 -0 the MRA elected to grant the
win to Onekama. With three games to go the team is now 4 and 0 and will be facing the tough Manistee Gold team for the first time back to back at home on October 10th at 5:00 and then again at Manistee Middle school field on Saturday the 14th at 10:00. ...Coach Matthew reporting |
