Walter Jerry Payton!

                 Walter was born on July 25, 1954. He was born in Colombia, Mississippi. Walter got married to Connie Norwood in 1976. Walter and his wife had two children, Brittney and Jarrett Payton. The family lived in South Barrington, Illinois.

            

             Walter Jerry Payton spent his entire career with the Chicago bears and made many all time records like 16,726 rushing yards (now passed), 77 100-yard rushing games, and 275 yards gained in a rushing games (now passed), and the national football leagues youngest MVP.

 

             In February 1999, Payton told people that he had a rare liver disease known as Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. This led to the growth of a cancerous tumor on his liver. Payton spent his last months looking for organ donators. He was in many commercials asking for people to help him get through his tragedies. He went to his final baseball game and made the game’s Ceremonial first pitch. On November 1, 1999 Payton died because of his illness.
