Tonight
at Brethren the 7th and 8th grade OHS/BL football team
took on the Bobcats in their season opener on a very
nicefootball evening. Dan Gillespie took the opening
kickoff and ran it back 68 yard to put the Portagers on
the scoreboard right away. The 2 point conversion was
good and the Portagers led 8-0 just seconds into the
game.

Before the half ended quarterback Dan Gillespie threw a 25 yard pass to Chase Callaway, and he scampered into the end zone to give the Portagers a 14-0 lead. The 2 point conversion was no good. In the 2nd half Dan Gillespie on a quarterback keeper ran for a touchdown from about 37 yards out and 2 point conversion was no good and the Portagers lead by 20-0. The Portagers kept the Bobcats from scoring and came away with there 1st victory by a score of 20-0 |
