9/26 Mason CE Home 5:00 Photographs of Game Due to illness of players we had a combined scrimmage against MCE and no score was kept.
9/28 at Bear Lake TBA Photographs of Game In the 8th grade game the Portagers played hard to the end but came up on the short end of a 38-11 game.
10/03 Baldwin at Home 5:00 The Portager really elevated their game in the second quarter after a slow start and kept it going in the second half coming away with a 25-13 win..Leading the scoring was Sherese Revolt with 17 points, Katie Prelip added 6 and Kalani Buckner chipped in 2. Katie, Kalani, Diamond Kimple, Katelyn Mc Pherson, and Liz Schoedel all played very hard setting great screens and were very aggressive on the boards...a great team effort!! 10/05 Brethren Home 5:00 Game Photographs The 8th grade won 20 to 16. The 8th grade really battled against a good Brethren team and came away with a tough 20-16 win ..Sherse led the scoring with 16 points ..Liz and Diamond each adding a bucket .
10/10 MCE Away 5:00 Game Photos of 7th and 8th together The 8th grade found theselves in a deep hole early down 19-4 at the half but kept playing hard until the end, falling on the short end of a 39-21 outcome. Leading scorers were Sherse with 14 points, Diamond popping in 6 and Liz adding a free throw.
10/12 Bear Lake at Onekama Tonights game was a real battle with our neighbors from Bear Lake. Sherese made a game tying bucket after a great pass from Katie with only a couple seconds on the clock to send the game into overtime. In the 3 minute over time the scrappy Portagers played great defense led by Kalani and held the Lakers scoreless as we came away with a nail biting 21-17 victory.Sherese ripped the twine for 19 points and Kalani hit two big free throws in overtime. Katie, Diamond and Liz really played great defense all night.
10/17 at Brethren 5:00 10-17 vs. Brethren...The Portagers found themselves in a hole early being down 19-4 at the half but never gave up and lost to Brethre 41-23..Leading the way for the Portagers was Sherese Revolt with 13 points and Diamond Kimple adding 10.
10/19 Tournament begins 10:00 at MCE 10-19 Tournament ...In the first round game the Portagers could get nothing going against the tough full court pressure from MCE ...falling to the Cardinals 44-17 Photos from Wednesday & Saturday
10/22 Tournament begins 10:00 at MCE 10-22 Tournament...In the season finale the Portagers played their best all around game of the season coming away with a very tough win against the Bobcats from Brethren..29-26. Leading the way in a well rounded scoring attack was Sherese Revolt with 14, Katie Prelip with 7, Diamond Kimple with 6 and Kalani Buckner with 2. The Portagers continued to improve every game and we are looking for big things from them as the move up to the JV level next season...The Portagers ended their season with a 4 & 4 record which is outstanding considering we only had 6 players and rest times were very limited...Great season girls!!
