It wasn’t for bragging rights. It was for additional game experience and fun. Fifth grade Portagers verses Sixth grade Portagers in the opening game of the night. Coach Turk and Coach Harju were game officials and fans were all Portager fans, making the gym atmosphere all about Portager Pride. What a fun game it was with players demonstrating team and individual skills learned throughout the season. Fifth graders used half court pressure and quickness for strategy while the sixth graders used their size and strength for strategy. Each team’s strategies made for a fun game to watch and officiate. ...Coach Turk |
