Onekama vs Frankfort October 22, 2005 Frankfort traveled into the bright newly remodeled Onekama gymnasium bringing a nice sized crowd for the home opener of the Elementary season. Both teams showed great fundamental skills as they competed in a regulation style game of four 6-minute quarters. The new game format allowed players on both teams to learn how to check in while subbing on and off the floor, which is a key detail many fans and players take for being common knowledge. |
Onekama played great man to man defense beginning right at half court, causing some Frankfort confusion and problems. Their pressure defense created opportunities for steals and transition baskets. Players passed the ball well and demonstrated expertise in pivoting and protecting the ball allowing for many shots to be taken and baskets to be made.
