Onekama girls basketball players have Clinich at Ferris 2005

This past Saturday, January 14th, 5th, 6th, and a few high school players attended a mini basketball clinic before Ferris took on Lake Superior State. The girls got to meet the entire women's team, see the locker room, create a tunnel for the team to run through as they took the court, watch a heart breaking game, and two 5th grade players participated in time out competition.

Girls Basketball Clinic

On Saturday we went to Ferris State University. It was awesome! The basketball clinic was really fun. They have a huge blow-up bulldog. At the game at halftime there were a lot of contests. Elizabeth and Brittany were in one. We lost the game by 1 basket. LSSU got a basket in right at the buzzer. It was 80-82. It was still exciting. That's what I did Saturday.

When we got to Ferris State University we had a basketball clinic. After that we played arcade games. We were there for about four hours. We also watched game of Ferris against the Lakers. Two people from Ferris picked Brittany and Emily to be in a contest. They both won a shirt, a seat, and two posters. It was fun. I hope we do it again.

On Saturday the girls basketball team went to Ferris State When we got there we got to practice with Ferris State Girls Basketball Team. We practiced layups, passing, and dribbling. After, we got lunch and played arcade games. Last we watched the basketball game against the Lakers. Two people from the college asked me and Brittany to do a race. We said yes.They had to put a boys basketball uniform in the middle of the court. When they said go, me and Brittany had to run to the middle of the court in our socks, put on the uniform and the giant shoes and run to the basket and shoot. I won, but we both got prizes. The Lakers won by two points. I hope we can go next year.
