Eighth Grade Class Trip to Ohio |
May 11 & 12 2006 |
Last Thursday & Friday (May 11th & 12th)
the 8th grade class took a trip to Ohio. We left Onekama at 5:00
a.m. on Thursday and returned at midnight on Friday. Our first stop
was at the Toledo Zoo, but we were short on time so had to make that
really quick.

We then went to the Toledo Science Center Cosi where most of these pictures were taken. Cosi offered a lot of hands on things for the kids to do. We stayed the night at Kalahari - which is a lot like the Great Wolf Lodge - only I think they had more water slides, etc. On Friday we spent a wet and cold day at Cedar Point. A lot of the rides were closed due to the weather, but there were also plenty of coasters, etc., that the kids were able to ride. | |
The group of girls that I chaperoned at
Cedar Point loved Power Tower, Millennium Force; Mantis (stand up
coaster); and the Magnum XL-200. A fun time was had by all,
considering the weather wasn't too cooperative. A BIG ROUND OF
APPLAUSE AND THANKS GOES TO KATHY BUCKNER, class advisor, for
planning the entire trip and helping the kids with the fundraisers.
She did an awesome job and the kids should be proud of themselves
for their good behavior. ...Jeri Lyn Prielipp
