12/6 Freesoil Away 5:00 For the 8th graders they opened the season at Freesoil on the 12/06/04 in their first game of the season and came away with 43-26 win , Leading the 8th grade squad in scoring was Levi Capper 16, Ryan Miller and Drew Griswold had 6 points each, Aaron Fisher 5 points, Travis Schram 3, Hunter Slade,Andrew Cabot, Jacob Garwood all had 2 points each and Luke Fogarty 1 point
12/8 Pentwater Away 5:00 On the 12/08/04 they traveled to Pentwater to take on the Falcons and won by a score of 49-23. Pacing the Young Portagers was Levi Capper has he netted 18 points, Ryan Miller and Aaron Fisher connected for 9 each, Hunter Slade added 8, Drew Griswold 3 and Travis Schram 2 as their season record is 2-0
12/13 Bear Lake Away 5:00 0n 12/13/04 they traveled to Bear Lake to take on their county rival the Lakers. In a high scoring contest the Portager's went down to defeat by a score of 57-69. Leading the Portagers was Levi Capper as he swished in 21, Ryan Miller netted 20, Aaron Fisher added 11, Hunter Slade and Zack Gilbert 2 each and Travis Schram as they now are 2-1 for the season.
12/15 Baldwin Away 5:00 12/15/04 they traveled to Baldwin to take on the Panthers from Baldwin and Baldwin was to0 much for the Portagers tonight as they lost by a score of 25-38 Scoring tonight for the Portagers was Levi Capper with 10, Ryan Miller 9, Aaron Fisher 7, Travis Schram, Zach Gilbert, Aaron Fisherand Hunter Slade all had 2 points each as their season record is now 2-2
12/20 Walkerville Home 5:00 Cancelled due to the weather

1/17 MCE Away 5:00 1/17/05 They traveled to MCE to take on the Cardinals and a game which they led just about all the way the won by a score of 37-31 Pacing the Portager attack tonight was Levi Capper with 19, Aaron Fisher 7, Ryan Miller 6, and Hunter Slade, 5. Photographs
1/19 Baldwin at Onekama Cancelled due to the weather
1/22 At Brethren At Brethren Saturday morning, the eighth grade ending up not just playing Brethren, but also Freesoil, MCC and Baldwin. The Teams played a 10 minute quarter with a running clock and that was called a game. They played in Brethren's new gym due to the 7th and 8th graders playing at the same time. Coach Dennis Manke not there, however Dennis Zupin and Toby Griswold took over the coaching. In the first game they beat MCC by a score of 13-9. In the 2nd game they beat Freesoil by a score of 7-6. In their 3rd game the young Portagers again won against Brethren by a score of 12-10. And in their final game of the day they played Baldwin to a 7-7 tie. The young Portagers and Baldwin Panthers ended the day with a tie for the best record of the 10 minutes quarters with 3 wins and one tie. Next they travel to Walkerville on Monday to take on the Wildcats from Walkerville. Photographs
1/24 Walkerville Away 5:00 On the 1/24/04 the 8th graders were at the home of the Wildcats from Walkerville and came away with a win to move their season record to 4-2
1/26 Frankfort Home 5 On the 1/26/05 the 8th graders played the Frankfort Panthers at home. The Panthers beat our Portagers as their season record is now 4-3. Their next game will be this Saturday at home against Brethren at 1:00 p.m. in the WMD North tournament.
1/29 Tournament begins 10:00

 Onekama won 34-32 over the Brethren Bobcats to move on to the championship game next Saturday. Pacing our young Portagers today was Aaron Fisher as he swished through 13 points, Hunter Slade nailed 7, Levi Capper connected for 6, Zac Gilbert added 4 and Ryan Fink and Drew Griswold each had 2 points. 2/05 Tournament 10:00 Onekama lost 34-37. Bear Lake received the 1st place Championship plaque and our up and coming Portagers took home the 2nd place plaque. Pacing the young Portagers in a great basketball game was Aaron Fisher with 10 points, Levi Capper connected for 7, Ryan Miller netted 6, Slade Hunter nailed 5, Zac Gilbert added 4 and Drew Griswold 2.
