Learning to Cook is fun for students in grades 3-8

In cooking class we made blueberry muffins, sugar cookies, no-bake cookies, and waffles. Katie said, "The butter cream frosting made with butter, shortning and sugar was great." She also noted, "Dried chocolate is hard to get off a pan. You need your fingernails and lots of hot water." She suggested that kids remember not to get food color on their hands.

Jared, one of the boys in the cooking class, liked the no-bake cookes best, but noted, "If you leave them out and don't form them right away, they will crumble."

Cooking Class is Educational

Jared learned not to stick his finger in the microwaved chocolate to test whether it was hot. It was. Ouch!
