The 7th graders of Onekama Middle School are learning to play the piano!

Students have been learning about form in music. Form is the structure or design of a composition. Because musical form is built up of many well ordered patterns, music is often compared to architecture.

In music there are melody patterns, rhythmical patterns, harmony patterns, and (in piano) finger patterns. The ability to recognize patterns is very important. It makes playing the piano easier.
