Garden Spirit Members met on Tuesday, December 4, 2001, to make ornament treats for birds.  Members dipped pinecones and dried bagel in a mixture of suet and peanut butter and then rolled them in bird seed. After they were done, members hung the ornaments on the White Pine Christmas Tree in the Children's Garden. Refreshments were served. The next Garden Spirit meeting will be January 2002.

Anne shows the pinecone she dipped in peanut butter and suet and rolled in bird seed while Joleen is still creating her ornament.

Cheyenne found out that this craft can get messy.

Julie and Autumn really concentrate on the task.

Shannon places a decorated pinecone on the tree.

Julie carefully places her ornament on the tree.

Kelsey and Autumn work together to fill the elementary school bird feeder while Alyssa looks on.

Garden Spirit members show ornaments they made: Back row: Joleen, Autumn, Alyssa, Julie, Shannon; front row: Kelsey, Cheyenne. The weather on this day was on the warm side and that is why the ladies have no coats on.
