State standardized testing is done using the
Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP).
MEAP testing is used to guide school improvement in
classroom instruction, track students individual and
group achievement. The MEAP test is given yearly to
Elementary students in grades three, four, five,
Middle School students in grades six, seven and
eight, and High School students in grades nine and
eleven. Test results should be compared against
their own previous test as well as compared against
State averages. Results for the Elementary and
Middle School have been compiled and disseminated by
the Michigan Department of Education. High School
results are not available at this time
