The boys totaled 104 points to win the event, edging second-place Traverse City St. Francis (86) and Manton (83) while Brethren took eighth with 29 points.
The Portagers placed first in the 400- and 3,200-m Relays. The 400m Relay team of Jordan Coe, Justin Solis, Jonas Lamont, Nick Streeter took first. The 3200m Relay of Shane Peterson, Jordan Anderson, John Schoedel, John Girven took first. Nick Streeter placed first in the 200m. Shane Peterson first in the 800m run. John Girven was first in the 3200m run.
The Bobcats saw some strong individual performances as Brad Maier took fifth in the long jump, and James Connoly took a first (high jump), second (100-meter dash), third (shot put) and fourth (200-meter dash).
