Onekama rolls past CCA
BIG RAPIDS — Onekama cruised to a 17-0 West Michigan D League win over
Crossroads on Monday before the doubleheader’s nightcap was rained out.
“I thought the girls played through the adversity of the weather,” said
Portager coach Rob Johnson of the team’s opener. “The girls played good
for their first game.”
Onekama’s senior pitcher Emily Bergren allowed just one hit in the
contest with no walks while striking out seven batters.

The Portagers knocked seven hits as Ashley Kubiskey went 2-for-3 with a
double and Kaylor DeWitt knocked a triple.
The nightcap was postponed due to rain before the top of the first was
completed A make-up date has not yet been scheduled.
