BUCKLEY — The Bear Lake cross country team ran to a pair of
second-place finishes on Saturday at an invitational in
Buckley.
The Lakers were runners-up in both the boys and girls races, as Benzie took top honors in each.
“I feel good about it. Finishing second to Benzie — they’re a powerhouse — isn’t anything to be ashamed of for us,” said Bear Lake coach Tony Shrum of competing against a bigger school. “The times were good, and what I was impressed with most was how gutsy they were. They all ran hard with some pretty weird weather throughout the day.
