The Onekama
boys ski team took fourth place in a Lake
Michigan Ski Conference meet on Wednesday at
Crystal Mountain. Bellaire won with 50 points,
Benzie Central and Glen Lake both tallied 63 and
Onekama 120.

Parker Sternberger led the co-op Portagers with
a fourth-place finish in the giant slalom and
took 13th in the slalom. “It’s great to see all
the boys getting better with every race,” said
Onekama coach Curt Mathieu. “It’s real
exciting.”

THOMPSONVILLE — The Onekama boys ski team took
fourth place in a Lake Michigan Ski Conference
race on Wednesday at Crystal Mountain.

Glen Lake
took first with 37 points, ahead of Benzie
Central (56), Bellaire (98) and Onekama (113).
The Portagers finished third in the giant slalom
and fourth in the slalom.
“I’m real proud of the way the guys are coming
together,” said Onekama coach Curt Mathieu.
“We’re starting to get more consistent. That’s
what we’ve been working on.”

Sternberger 56.47; 16th Truman Lee, 1:02.94;

Parker Sternberger and Brandon Morrill. Brethren has two
boys on the team - Cameron Smith and Brendan Wayward.
