ONEKAMA — Onekama jumped out to a 23-3 first-quarter lead against Walkerville Tuesday night and never looked back during the Portagers’ 63-45 West Michigan D League win.

“We jumped on them early and it was easy sailing after that,” said Onekama coach Nathan Bradford. “Everyone got in and did a good job.”

The Portagers were led by Taylor Hagen who scored 18 points with six rebounds and two steals while teammates Lindsay Nesburg scored 14, Nicole Slater scored eight with five rebounds, Jennica Mathieu had six points and four steals, Danielle Ward scored four with seven steals, Kaylan Fitch and Elizabeth Bergren scored four and Kaitlin Kubiskey added two.
