Onekama @ Big Rapids Crossroads – Game 9

In our furthest trip of the season we looked forward to our rematch with the Cougars.  Unfortunately, we came out shooting flat and the Cougars took advantage and rolled on to victory with a final score of 38-14. 

Offensively, we had several good shot opportunities but we couldn’t get them to fall.  Elizabeth led all scorers with 6 points.  Kaylan, Nisha, Kaitlin, and Sami were the only other scorers with 2 points each.  Aside from our troubles getting the ball in the hoop, we didn’t find much help from the refs either. 

Elizabeth led the defense with 10 rebounds, 6 steals, an assist and a block.  Sierra Hull backed her up with 7 rebounds and a steal.  Faith and Nisha finished with 3 boards and Nisha added a block.  Kaylan and Sami finished with 2 rebounds apiece, and Kaylan added a block and Sami added 2 steals.  Kaitlin finished off with a rebound and a block.

Another game down and another hard loss, but this team still has a strong spirit that won’t be broken.  After almost a 2 week span without a game, we will travel to Marion in a non-conference match-up.
