Onekama @ Marion – Game 10
February 1, 2011

We headed into Marion with a desire to find our next win.  We found out that the Marion team had a similar record so our hopes increased that we could get back on track and get that win.  Despite our efforts we still found it difficult to score and the Eagles took advantage of it.  In the end the Eagles pulled ahead and took the win with a score of 34 -23.

Offensively, Elizabeth and Kaitlin led the team with 8 points each.  Kaylan, Sierra Hull and Sami each finished with 2 points and Sierra Warner finished with a point.  The Eagles played tough man-to-man defense which was challenging for us at times throughout the game.

Defensively, Kaylan controlled the boards with 11 rebounds and added 4 blocks to her stats for the night.  Elizabeth found herself in foul trouble early, but still managed to pull down 6 boards, 3 assists, and a team season high 8 steals.  Sierra Hull came off the bench and grabbed 5 rebounds.  Faith also played well off the bench and got 4 rebounds and 3 steals.  Kaitlin finished with 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and an assist.  Sierra Warner finished with a rebound and a block.

Another hard fought game, but yet another loss.  We continue to work hard to get things back on track.  We will join the Varsity again for our next contest against Pentwater, and then travel to Manistee Catholic Central for our next conference rematch.  We look forward to seeing you there.
