The Portagers pull off an exciting 36-35 win in the final seconds against their county rival MCC and now lead the league at 5-0.

The team really struggled at the charity line, which was anything but charitable. Going to the line 16 times and making only 3 really kept the Sabers in the game in the first half.

The shooting from the line improved slightly in the second half when they connected with 9 of their 15 attempts, but it was the final one that really counted.

With less then 30 seconds to go in the game, Joe Eno was fouled down low and made the second of two to pull ahead by one and with a great defensive stand at the end, that's all they needed to put another dash in the win column. As Coach Bromley put it, "it wasn't pretty, but it's a win!" Overall, Quinn Matthews led the scoring with 16 pts, followed by Eno with 12, Bryce Reckow chipped in 6 and Logan Fogarty rounded out the scoring with 2.
