Portagers Top Falcons
PENTWATER — Onekama rallied back from a
four-point halftime deficit to take a double-digit victory over
Pentwater Friday night in 69-58 West Michigan D League win.
The Portagers (4-10, 4-8 WMD) had a slim 12-11 lead at the end of the
first, before the Falcons (6-10, 5-7 WMD) rallied in the second to take
a 27-23 advantage into the break.
However, Onekama scored 23 third-quarter points for a 46-40 edge heading
into the fourth before securing the win in the final frame. |
Onekama’s Adrian Norman scored 21 points to
lead the way while Matt Monroe tallied a double-double with 17 points
and 12 boards, Kyle Acker had eight points and 12 rebounds while senior
Jared Miller snatched down 10 boards.
The Onekama junior varsity team remained undefeated with a 70-20 rout of
the Falcons. Bryce Reckow led the Portagers (14-0) with 23 points while
Quinn Matthews scored 20 and Logan Fogarty chipped in 10.
