WALKERVILLE — The Onekama boys basketball
team picked up its first win of the season with a 73-34 win against
Walkerville on Thursday night.
“It was nice to get a win,” said Onekama coach Jim Hunter. “Better
sooner than later.”

Adrian Norman had 21 points and 10 assists to
lead the Portagers (1-2, 1-2 WMD) while Skyler Kimpel had 11 points and
12 rebounds.
The Portagers led 17-7 after the first quarter and 35-24 at halftime
before outscoring the Wildcats 23-9 in the third to blow the game open.
"We didn't play great, but we played good enough to win," Hunter said. |
