Onekama Track Starts Strong

FRANKFORT — Despite fielding only eight of its 12 members of the track team, the Onekama girls still managed to put up some impressive times for their first meet of the season Tuesday as the Portagers partook in a non-scored tri-meet with host Frankfort and Lake City.

“I was very pleased with all the performances tonight,” coach Bonnie Brown said. “Everybody gave 110 percent. Some of them set some pretty high standards for themselves and some of their times they ran tonight were fantastic for it being this early. “I’m looking forward to some great things.”
