Onekama held on for a 46-34 win over Marion

“It wasn’t pretty,” Portagers coach Nathan Bradford said of the physical non conference game. “We had a sluggish start, but once we got going, we did a pretty good job.”

The Portagers (9-4, 8-3 WMD) started out with a 7-2 edge after the opening period and took a slim 18-16 mark into halftime before separating themselves from the Eagles in the second half.

Sherece Revolt led the way with 14 points and eight steals while Taylor Hagen scored 13, Jennica Mathieu had nine, Jaylee Brown scored six, Katie Prielipp three, and Lexi Howard one.

Mathieu had a team-high nine rebounds while Hagen and Revolt grabbed six, and Brown and Brooke Sedelmaier each grabbed five.
