ASHLEY —
The Ashley High School football team
defeated Onekama on Friday, 28-6.
The Bears (5-1) scored the first four touchdowns of the game, all by running back Michael Sperling, to build a lead over the Portagers (3-3), which they never relinquished.
“Ashley played very hard and just took us off the ball,” said Onekama coach Jim Hunter. “I just think we didn’t match their intensity initially.”
