Bear Lake/Onekama middle school team attended the Ludington cross country meet.  The meet was held at West Shore Comm. College on Saturday Aug. 19.

Normally middle school races are not split up between boys and girls, but at the Ludington meet they ran the boys and girls separately.  Which is not good if you do not have enough boys or girls to make up a whole team, but we do this year.  Both boys and girls took home a first place trophy.

Ludington also had a sixth grade race which normally does not happen either.  Our manager, Randy Pienta, is in sixth grade and wanted to try it out.  The sixth grade race was 1.2 miles long and Randy ran it in 8:05.

Thank You,
Coach Anthony Torres
