Laker harriers take 3rd, 4th at Carson City

CARSON CITY — The Bear Lake cross country
team recorded a pair of top-5 finishes at the Don Baese Carson City
Crystal Invitational on Saturday, October 3rd.
The Laker boys finished third in the 17-team Class C-D division with 126
points, behind winner Potterville (46) and runner-up Bellevue (105). The
Laker girls took fourth in their 12-team division with 123 points,
behind winner Battle Creek St. Phillip Catholic (90), Beal City (97) and
Saugatuck (109).
Individually, Jaylee Brown had the best
finish, taking sixth with a personal-record time of 20:33. She was
followed by Tobi Schoedel (12th, 21:33), Elizabeth Schoedel (15th,
21:52, PR), Samantha Mullet (42nd, 24:01, PR), Danielle Ward (48th,
24:13, PR), Yumi Babinec (49th, 24:16) and Taylor Anderson (58th,
25:32). |
Chuck Schoedel led the way for the Bear Lake boys, finishing seventh in
17:22, followed by Tyler Groenwald (20th, 18:07, PR), Josh Goins (26th,
18:17, PR), Alex Ringel (35th, 18:44), Ryan Pienta (38th, 18:50), Danny
Brown (42nd, 19:00, PR), and Weston Brooks (48th, 19:10).
