Onekama routs Walkerville

WALKERVILLE — The Onekama High School boys basketball team defeated Walkerville on Monday night 49-29.

Joe Kosiboski had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead the Portagers (1-0, 1-0 WMD) to a win in their West Michigan D League opener. “I thought our kids played good defense,” said Onekama coach Roger Smith. “Overall, I thought we did a nice job tonight.”

Also for Onekama, Matt Monroe had eight points and seven rebounds, Austin Barnett and Jake Matthews scored six apiece, Skyler Kimpel had four points, eight rebounds and five steals, while Ryan Pienta and Thomas Koon each scored two.
