The
Onekama/Bear Lake baseball team won both games last night over Baldwin.
In Game One, Thomas Koon struck out ten as the Portagers won by a score
of 8 to 1. Alex Block and Bryce Reckow each had 2 hits in the game.
Thomas Koon paced the Portagers (12-8, 8-0 WMD) on the mound in the
opener, pitching a complete six innings allowing just one hit with 10
strikeouts.
“Thomas pitched really well tonight,” said Portagers coach John Neph.
“He hit his spots and mixed it up.” |
At the plate, Onekama’s Alex Block had two
hits with three RBIs while Bryce Reckow had a pair of hits.
Thomas Koon hit his first career home run as part of three hits in the
game. In the nightcap,
Koon sparked the Portagers with a leadoff home run. He finished with
three hits and five RBIs.
Also at the plate, Kevin O’Connor had two hits with three RBIs and Jared
Miller had three hits.
