BOX TOP  CONTEST

LABEL WARS – January 11 – March 22, 2010

We will be starting a new contest for Box Tops which will work like penny wars.

  • Each grade will have a see-through container in the office to collect box tops in.

  • Each Box Top for Education label (see above) will be worth 10 points

Students will be able to sabotage other grades by placing Campbell soup\Tyson label or Spartan UPC codes in their competitor’s containers which will count against them.  (see photos below)

Campbell soup will be worth the face value

Spartan UPC codes will be worth 1 point each

Tyson labels will be worth 1 point each

If you find Bonus labels, they will be worth face value (Sometimes on back of register receipts or larger boxes).

  • We will count on Monday morning and let teachers know if their class has been sabotaged.  Numbers will be posted on a poster in the hallway.

  • The final week, the boxes will be emptied and no more numbers will be posted, allowing the children to sabotage blindly (based on the numbers they already have and what they can see in the containers.)

WINNING GRADE WILL WIN AN ICE CREAM PARTY

LET’S EARN SOME CASH FOR OUR SCHOOL!!!
