Onekama High School girl’s
basketball team defeated Bear Lake
on Tuesday night, 52-33.
Taylor Hagen led the Portagers (3-1,
3-1) with 15 points and four steals,
while Stacey Keith and Sherece
Revolt both scored 12.
“We got off to a little bit of a
slow start with the snow day
yesterday,” said Onekama coach
Nathan Bradford. “But, the girls
played pretty good.”
Also for Onekama, Chelsea Miller had
eight points and nine rebounds,
Paige Rutowski had five points and
eight rebounds, Jennica Mathieu had
four points and a team-high 11
rebounds and Olivia Bolthouse had
three points.
Onekama led, 13-8, at the end of the
first quarter and 25-19 at halftime,
before taking a 38-27 lead heading
into the fourth.
Sarah Hilliard led Bear Lake (2-2,
2-2) with 12 points, Ashley Crawford
had 10, Ashley Ringel eight and Tobi
Schoedel had nine rebounds.
