The Portagers achieved a 46-0 lead in the first
half. Onekama Onekama totaled 343 yards, 233 of them rushing.
Joerdon Daldos led the Portagers with 16 rushes for 83 yards and two
touchdowns, and he caught two passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Dan Gillespie was 8-12 passing for 128 yards, three
touchdowns and no interceptions. Travis Teachout had eight rushes for 64
yards and a touchdown. Ryan Miller had two receptions for 40 yards and a
touchdown. Adrian Norman had three receptions for 30 yards and a
touchdown, and he scored on a two-point conversion. |
Onekama got on the scoreboard on a 50-yard
screen pass from Gillespie to Daldos with 6:08 left in the first
quarter. Teachout and Daldos both scored again in the first quarter as
the Portagers took an 18-0 lead.
In the second quarter Joe Kosiboski intercepted a pass and returned it
for a touchdown, Miller caught a 23-yard touchdown and, following a
safety, Norman returned a kick for a score to give Onekama a 40-0 lead.
With time running out in the second quarter, Miller intercepted a pass
in the end zone and returned it more than 100 yards for the score and
46-0 lead. |
