Tonight the Portagers went up against Frankfort at home and lost in the first game 13- 25.  We had a slow start.  In the second game we played very tough digging up what ever they gave us and were going back and forth with the points and losing a very close second game 27-29.  The Portagers kind of lost their momentum and lost the third game and match 15-25.  Even though the first and third game score doesn't show all the long volleys and scrimmaging we work hard at.  The girls keep improving each game and working hard to make the adjustments to play together as a team.  Senior Julie Schoedel and Junior Paige Rutowski were the top servers for the Portagers with each serving up 7 points.  Paige also dug up 17 hits in the back row and had 2 spikes with 3 sets.  Sophomore Sherece Revolt scored 4 points with 1 ace, added 15 digs, 1 spike, 21 sets and 2 tips.  Kelsey Acker added 3 points with 2 aces, 20 digs, 3 spikes, 2 blocks and was the team top setter with 29 sets and 7 tips.  Alyssa Cole helped with 1 point, 9 digs, 14 spike, 3 kills, 2 sets and 1 tip.  Stacey Keith was the team top passer with 36 digs, 3 spikes, 18 sets and 1 tip.  Olivia Bolthouse and Paige Rutowski both played the Libero tonight. ~Coach Keith
