Tough night at the plate against one
of the best pitchers in Northern Michigan, we lost both 17-1 and 10-0.
In game one Katie Prielipp had a base hit and Kelsey Acker drove her in
with a triple down the line. In game 2 Kelsey had a double for the
game's only hit by Onekama. We faced a very good team and a very good
pitcher striking out 18 times on the night. I'm proud of our gals for
getting in the box and battling, we fouled of several balls each at bat
and then ended up striking out on a off speed pitch. The pitcher for
St. Mary's mixed her pitches very well to keep us off balance and we're
not the only one she's done that too. She has a perfect game under her
belt this year facing 18 batters and striking out all 18. ~Coach
