It was a match in which everyone saw action. Onekama golfers played
during rain and windy conditions to defeat Mesick by 12 strokes. Jake
Matthews was Onekama’s low scorer.
Levi Capper shot a 52, Drew Griswold shot a 51, Jake Matthews shot a 48
and Brenner Johnson shot a 55 to collectively record the team’s 206
score. Andrew Gaylord was the match medalist shooting a 44. Andrew is
from Mesick. |
Also shooting for team score but not factoring into the team score was
Josh Cebula who lost his 8-iron in the pond on the fourth hole (he lost
a hold of it upon completing his swing while making an approach shot to
the fourth green) and Chase Callaway. Mesick shot a team score of 218.
Onekama travels to the Colonial in Hart for action in the WMD
