Bear Lake / Onekama Cross Country 2007

On a cool and windy day at the Shepherd Invitational Coach Eric Ross ran the open race with a T Shirt bet with the Varsity Boys. Eric had to be within two minutes of Chuck Schoedel's finish time. Eric ran a good race but came up about a minute short of the allowed time as Eric ran the course in a time of about 20:33 and Chuck finished with a time of 17:34 so this coming week Eric said he would be wearing his T Shirt. We will try and get a picture of it.

Today the Varsity Girls brought home the 2^nd place Trophy out of a field of 6 teams. 1^st Clare 29 pts., 2^nd Bear Lake/Onekama 52 pts., 3^rd Beal City 81 pts., The Girls overall finish is as follows out of a field of 38 runners,

Reminder to everyone that Thursday October 18^th is Parent Nights for All Middle School and High School Cross Country teams at Bear Lake High School Gym between the JV and Varsity Volley Game the JV game starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Middle School will be running at the Cardinal Classic on Tuesday 10/16/07 at MCE at 4:00 p.m. so maybe somebody can get the results to Barb.

Last Regular meet of the year will be next Saturday 10/20/07 at Elk Rapids All Varsity, JV and Middle School runners will be running at this invitational starting about 9:30 a.m. This will be the last regular season run for our 2 Seniors Boys Jordan Maxey from Bear Lake and Justin Zupin from Onekama Good Luck Seniors. ~Dennis Zupin
