The Portagers split a double
header with the Brethren Bobcats winning game # 1 6-4 and dropping
game #2 13-1. Stacey Keith pitched a great
game in game one walking only 2 and striking out 5...Stephanie
Ashworth chipped in with a pair of singles, Sherece Revolt and
Alyssa Cole pounded doubles to lead the Portagers at the plate. In
game #2 it was a game where the Bobcats simply hit the ball where we
couldn’t catch it.

Sherece Revolt pitched a fine game but there were
several bloop base hits and dribblers just out of the reach of the
fielders, and our bats turned cold. Winning game one against a fine
Brethren is big for us as it have been several years..at least
10..that we have winless against the Bobcats . This is a measure of
how much we are continuing to grow and improve as a team.
