Onekama Portagers vs Pentwater Falcons The Onekama Portagers lost a pair of softball games to the Falcon’s from Pentwater on a cold, windy Wednesday night 14-1 and 14-4. The Portagers bats were as cold as the windy May air as they could only produce 6 hits in the doubleheader. Due to a series of infield and outfield fielding errors the Falcons scored 11 unearned runs in game one and 9 in game two. |
Stacey Keith and Sherece Revolt both pitched good enough to pick up wins tonight, they just didn’t get much support at the plate or on the field as 21 Portagers were struck out by the Falcon’s pitchers and 12 fielding errors aided to the Falcon’s runs. “ We are a very young team and we are continuing to improve each and every week. Sometimes our youth and inexperience shows and tonight was one of those times. My girls will put this behind them and look forward to playing the MCE Cardinals Friday in Custer.”. Kieran O’ Connor had a single and a triple to lead the Portagers and Katie Prielipp, Stacey Keith, Stephanie Ashworth and Chelsea Miller all added base hits. |
